Self-Worth, Emotional Regulation, Social Relationships, Elementary Students, Descriptive-Correlational Study, Psychological Well-being, Peer Interaction, Teacher-Student Relationship, Quantitative Research, Philippines
This quantitative study examined the predictive relationship between self-worth, emotional regulation, and social relationships among Grade 4 to 6 students at Prophet Elisha Christian Academy in Bayugan City. A descriptive-correlational research design was employed, involving 152 students selected through universal sampling. Adapted and validated survey questionnaires were used to measure self-worth, emotional regulation, and social relationships. Data were analyzed using weighted mean, Pearson r, and multiple regression analysis. The findings revealed that the levels of self-worth, emotional regulation, and social relationships were generally high. A statistically significant but low positive correlation existed between the independent variables (self-worth and emotional regulation) and the dependent variable (social relationships). However, none of the indicators significantly predicted social relationships. The study recommends school-based programs that promote emotional awareness and self-worth to foster healthier social interactions among students.
