Transformational Leadership, Administrative Support, Employee Job Satisfaction, Higher Education, Mediating Role, Philippine Universities.
This literature review synthesizes existing research on transformational leadership, administrative support, and employee job satisfaction, particularly within educational institutions. It explores the direct relationships between transformational leadership and job satisfaction, the impact of administrative support on employee well-being, and critically, the potential mediating role administrative support plays in the relationship between transformational leadership and employee job satisfaction. Drawing on studies from various contexts, including higher education and some specific to the Philippines, this review aims to establish a theoretical foundation for understanding these dynamics in the specific context of North Eastern Mindanao State University. The findings highlight that transformational leadership is generally associated with higher job satisfaction, and administrative support is crucial for fostering a positive work environment, suggesting that administrative support could be a key mechanism through which transformational leaders enhance employee satisfaction.
