Abstract

Ayurveda
Madhumeha,Diabetes Mellitus,Lifestyle,Diet,Aushadh.
Ayurveda means ‘Science of Life’. It deals with each and every aspect of human life. Ayurveda offers effective and safe solution for various health problems like Life Style disorders.Today, Madhumeha(Diabetes Mellitus) is not just a burning health issue but it has become one of the most serious concerns which is staggering globally. Diabetes Mellitus refers to a group of common metabolic disorder that share the phenotype of hyperglycemia. The Global D. M. prevalence in 2019 is 9.3 % rising to 10.2 % by 2023 and is expected to be about 10.9 % by 20451. According to WHO current prevalence of diabetes in India is 11.4% (101 million people) and the prevalence is 15.3% (136 million people). The present case study is of 50 years old male patient visiting to our institute’s OPD with the chief complaints of burning and excessive urination,excessive hunger and thirst, burning sensation at sole, joint pain and mental stress.Patient was known case of Madhumeha (Diabetes Mellitus) since last 10 years.All base line investigation was done.Patient was already on modern medicine of Diabetes but still there is uncontrolled hyperglycemia so patient came for Ayurvedic management .The treatment plan opted was used of Sanshamanaushadhi along with modification of diet and lifestyle. Regular follow up visits at the interval of one month.After 1 month of treatment significant response was observed.
