Abstract

EDUCATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
Personality, demographic variables, survey method, descriptive and differential statistical techniques.
Personality is the unique combination of patterns that influence behaviour, thought, motivation, and emotion in a human being. Personality refers to those characteristics of the person that account for consistent patterns of feelings, thinking, and behaving. Different reactions reflected and bring out very different personalities to every person. In this study the personality of selected post graduate students are studied. The research aimed study on personality pattern of post graduate students with various demographic variables. The investigators selected 362 post graduate students in Government and Private Colleges using simple random sampling technique. In this study the researchers constructed and standardized the tool on personality for collecting data. The questionnaire has 60 items based on self-concept, adjustment, introvert-extrovert behaviour. The researcher concluded that the overall personality pattern of post graduate students is high level. The independent variable such as locality of students and nature of family are influenced the personality of post graduate students. Other independent variables are does not influenced the personality of the post graduate students.
