Abstract

Education
Value Education, Teacher Education, and School.
The Present paper deals with the conceptual frame work of the Values through teacher education. It starts from Education, Aims in education, Values, Classification of Values, Philosophies supports Values, Needs of Human Values in the society, Development of Values through education, Causes of the Value crisis in Modern Society, Role of school in Value Orientation, the Importance of School Atmosphere, Imbibing Values through Curricular Activities, Imbibing Values through co-curricular Values, Role of Teachers in Inculcating Values. Values are foundation for human behavior and actions. Consistency and coherence of parents, school and society at large strengthens value formation. In the present paper, values and present scenario of value crisis have been elaborated. Education is value, parents and school are medium. But what values more is how the school prepares the child for success in life. Values can be inculcated in children through varied learning styles. Role of school and teachers in imparting values, role of parents on creating values through proper means are rationale for the study. Values in education are set according to the ever-changing needs of the society and the nation. Education and teacher attempt to meet them. The family, school and society have important role in the individual build up and setting the life patterns of which the values is one of the major components. The teachers’ role in value inculcation is immense and superb as he/she is the guardian of organizing classroom teaching learning environment. This paper discusses as how to assign the new roles to these teacher education institution for developing all dimensions of values in the learners for their integrated as well as differentiated growth.
