Abstract

Constitutional Law
Constitution, Constitution of India, Article 243 O, Panchayat, Election, Panchayat Election
Art. 243 O imposes bar on Court to interfere in the matters related to the Panchayat Elections. Independence of Judiciary is the part of the basic structure of the Constitution and Legislature can not take away the power of judicial review even by an amendment of Constitution. The efforts have been to analyse whether this provision also hit by the principle of basic structure or not.
