Educational Management
Integrating Islamic Values, Curriculum, Pupils’ Learning Behavior.
Generally, this study aimed to ascertain the influence of Islamic Values integration on pupils’ learning behavior. Specifically, the study was conducted to describe the extent of integration of Islamic values in the curriculum; level of pupils’ learning behavior; relationship of integration of Islamic values on pupils’ learning behavior; and influence of integration of Islamic values on pupils’ learning behavior. The 13 Arabic Language and Islamic Values teachers and 105 ALIVE learners from the Municipality of Matalam during the school year 2022-2023 were respondents of the study. Mean was used to determine the extent of integration of Islamic Values and pupils’ learning behavior. Hypotheses of the study were tested using multiple regression analysis. Result revealed that the respondents strongly agree on integration of Islamic Values in the curriculum in terms of moral, ethics, practices and spiritual. Moreover, in pupils’ learning behavior, the Arabic Language and Islamic Values teachers strongly agree in terms of moral development, civic engagement, academic performance and spiritual development. Pertaining to correlation, it can be gleaned in the result that variables of integration of Islamic Values in curriculum specifically ethics is significantly related to pupils’ learning behavior in terms spiritual development. Result also revealed that integration of Islamic Values significantly influences the pupils’ learning behavior; significantly influence pupils’ pupils’ learning behavior in terms of spiritual development, where ethics was found to the best predictor. Hypotheses of the study were rejected because probability value is significantly lesser than 0.05.
