People of all ages are impacted by procrastination, which lowers an organization's and an individual's overall effectiveness. This is particularly true for kids and teenagers who participate in extracurricular and school-related activities. The purpose of this study is to examine the association between procrastination and mental health in respect to gender and developmental stage in a sample of children and adolescents. Gender-based selection was used to choose study participants from Kolkata City's basic teaching schools for kids in grades four and five and teens in grades seven, eight, and nine (males and females). There were 133 boys and 135 girls among the 268 students in the sample, ages 10 to 15. The researcher's Procrastination Scale and Al-2011 Rahhal's Mental Health Scale used as the study's instruments. The study's findings showed that procrastination varied significantly across men and women, with men being more likely than women to do so, as well as between children and teenagers (among adolescents higher than among children). Negative correlations were identified between procrastination and beliefs in oneself and others, freedom from fear, perception of reality and objects, love of oneself and others, and straightness. Conversely, procrastination did not significantly link with social and personal adjustment, courage, self-awareness, or acceptance of others.
