Abstract

Education
This study determined the effectiveness of Task-based Approach in teaching English reading comprehension to Second Year students at Thai Nguyen University of Agriculture and Forestry, second semester of Academic Year 2023-2024. The experimental method of research with lesson plans and tests were used by the author to collect the data from students - respondents. A teacher - made achievement test was validated and administered as a pre-tests and post-test to both groups. Lesson plans were prepared for teaching students in the experimental group. The t-test of independent sample means was employed to compare the pre-test mean of the two groups and post-test mean of the two groups. The t-test of dependent sample means was also used to compare the pre-test and post-test mean of experimental group.
