Abstract

EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION
adequacy of resources, autonomy of work, compensation and rewards, employee well-being, job satisfaction and job security, organizational culture and climate , and quality of work life
The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of quality of work life and well-being in the work performance of non-teaching personnel. Correlational method of research was conducted using validated adapted and modified questionnaire on both variables. The extent of quality of work life was measured in terms of the following indicators: organizational culture and climate, relation and cooperation, training and development, compensation and rewards, autonomy of work adequacy of resources. On the other hand, non-teaching personnel’s well-being was measured through psychological well-being, social well-being, workplace well-being, and subjective well-being. The statistical analysis revealed that there is no significant relationship between Quality of Work Life (QWL) and work performance among non-teaching personnel, as indicated by a near-zero Pearson correlation (r-0.012) and a non-significant p-value (p=0.934). On the other hand, the Pearson correlation analysis revealed no significant relationship between employee well-being and work performance among non-teaching personnel, with a correlation coefficient of r=0.0097 and a p-value of 0.515. In conclusion, QWL and well-being do not statistically affect performance outcomes in this study. It was recommended that the Department of Education should align QWL and performance metrics more effectively. Holistic development programs must address both skills and well-being. Review of evaluation tools can ensure fairness for non-teaching roles.
