The purpose of this study was to determine how school heads’ leadership skills influence the job satisfaction of public elementary school teachers in Bunawan, Agusan del Sur. A correlational research design was employed, utilizing validated, adapted, and modified questionnaires to measure both variables. Leadership skills were assessed across five indicators: communication, decision-making, emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, and adaptability. Teacher job satisfaction was evaluated in terms of motivation, retention, professional growth, and enthusiasm. Descriptive statistics revealed that both leadership skills and job satisfaction were manifested at high levels, suggesting that school heads generally demonstrate effective leadership behaviors and that teachers exhibit a positive level of work satisfaction. Pearson correlation analysis indicated a significant and strong positive relationship between leadership skills and job satisfaction, implying that school heads who are more effective leaders tend to have teachers with higher satisfaction levels. Further statistical analysis using ANOVA revealed no significant differences in job satisfaction when respondents were grouped according to age, teaching experience, or educational attainment. However, a significant difference was found when respondents were grouped according to gender, suggesting that male and female teachers may have varying perceptions of their work satisfaction. The findings underscore the vital role of school heads’ leadership skills in fostering a supportive and motivating work environment. Effective leadership can contribute to enhanced teacher morale, commitment, and professional growth. It is recommended that leadership development programs and continuous professional training for school heads be strengthened to cultivate leadership qualities that promote teacher motivation and satisfaction, ultimately leading to improved educational outcomes.
