Understanding the lived experiences of the ALS teachers of Alternative Learning System in terms of their experiences encountered on the provision of support. The study utilized the phenomenological qualitative research design. An in-depth interview and focus group discussion were used to gather data and pieces information from the 8 ALS teachers of 1st District of Davao de Oro. Findings suggested that the experiences encountered by the ALS teachers are insufficient budget, lack of instructional materials, limited facilities, inadequate learning resources such as computers. Their responses were transcribed, processed and thematically examined to reveal patterns of experience, challenges, coping mechanisms and insights. The findings indicate that, despite limited resources, ALS teachers exhibit resilience by forming partnerships with the local government unit, barangay local government unit, and peer support to get funding for the implementation of the ALS program. Their accounts emphasized both the challenges and the professional satisfaction and development they encountered in their positions. The results indicate that teacher motivation, innovation, and resilience are essential for maintaining ALS program implementation during challenging circumstances. This research concludes that enhancing teacher support systems via the distribution of funding, instructional materials and resources can substantially fortify the ALS program. The Department of Education is advised to prioritize funding allocation for the ALS program. This study offers significant insights for educational stakeholders seeking to improve ALS programs.
