Abstract

Adminitration Management
Educational administration, challenges, coping mechanism, education, support system, and personal aspiration, far-flung areas, phenomenological.
This qualitative phenomenological study explores the lived experiences of seven Manobo students from Sitio Kalampayan, Kasapa II, La Paz, Agusan del Sur, who entered early marriage while continuing their education. Early marriage remains a persistent issue in many indigenous communities in the Philippines, often disrupting the academic paths of young learners, particularly girls. Through in-depth interviews and focus group discussions, the study examined the emotional, physical, and mental challenges these students face, the support systems available to them, and their personal motivations and coping strategies. Thematic analysis revealed recurring themes such as cultural expectations, academic struggles, family responsibilities, and resilience. Findings highlight the complex interplay between tradition, education, and personal aspiration, emphasizing the need for culturally responsive support systems and policies. This study aims to give voice to marginalized learners and provide insights for educators, policymakers, and community leaders to better support indigenous students navigating the dual roles of marriage and schooling.
