The rapid digitization of healthcare has opened new possibilities for improving accessibility, affordability, and quality of medical services in rural India. However, despite several government initiatives like Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) and eSanjeevani, rural areas continue to lag behind in digital health adoption. This study examines the barriers and potential solutions to strengthening digital health systems in the Muzaffarnagar region of Uttar Pradesh. Using a descriptive and analytical research design, data were collected from 200 respondents (patients, Accredited Social Health Activists—ASHAs, and primary healthcare staff) through structured questionnaires and interviews. Statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing using the chi-square and t-test, revealed significant relationships between digital literacy, infrastructure availability, and the effective utilization of digital health services. The study concludes that training, reliable internet infrastructure, and community-based digital awareness programs are crucial for improving health outcomes in rural Muzaffarnagar.
