Abstract

RURAL SOCIOLOGY
INDIAN POTTERY, INDUS VALLEY CIVILIZATION, DIVERSITY KHURJA, GLAZING AND DECORATION, HAND PRESSING,
The Historical Significance of Indian Pottery a craft as old as the civilization from which it originates, is a testament to the rich history of the Indian subcontinent. Dating back to the revered Indus Valley Civilization, pottery in India is not just a form of artistic expression; it is a tangible connection to millennia of human history and ingenuity. Archaeological excavations have unearthed intricate clay arte facts that reveal the exceptional craftsmanship of the ancient potters. From utilitarian objects such as cooking pots to ornate ceremonial vessels, these discoveries shed light on the daily lives and rituals of our ancestors. Cultural exchange and technological progress over the centuries, pottery in India has evolved in response to various cultural influences and technological advances.
