The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 envisions an India-centered education system that, by delivering quality education, directly supports the transformation of our country into a just and thriving knowledge society. To meet the urgent need for every nation to establish a strong vocational education system, the government has included vocational training courses in the curriculum of NEP 2020 that are based on occupation and employment. Due to its requirement that all educational institutions incorporate vocational education into mainstream education, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes the possibly unstable rise of vocational education in the nation. This will result in the production of numerous trained people, improving the nation's social and economic situation. However, Madhya Pradesh faces a number of obstacles that must be taken into account before implementing the New Education Policy, including inadequate budget, poor infrastructure, a shortage of skilled teachers, a lack of industries, a lack of practicum opportunities, etc. The goal of this essay is to examine the difficulties that vocational education faces and offer a number of solutions for implementing it at government universities. Methodology: Out of the 513 colleges in Madhya Pradesh, six colleges will be selected for data collection in the current study, which is purely quantitative and qualitative in nature. Principals, administrators, and teachers from government colleges in the Umaria District completed an online questionnaire to provide primary data. Secondary data was gathered through books, journals, research studies, websites, and other sources.
