Storytelling activities have a strategic role in the formation of early childhood characters who are in the golden age of intellectual and emotional development. However, storytelling practices in Early Childhood Education (=Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini-PAUD) institutions are rarely carried out due to limited teacher knowledge and skills. This article describes implementing a community service program in the form of storytelling training for PAUD teachers in Panti District, Jember Regency, as a real contribution to preparing Indonesia's golden generation in 2045. The training was given to teachers from two partner PAUDs, namely PAUD Al-Hidayah and PAUD Miftahul Ulum, and involved other PAUD teachers and guardians of students. Training methods include lectures, demonstrations, skills training, and practical assistance. Three storytelling tricks were introduced, namely: (1) reading a rewritten fairy tale script, (2) storytelling using character pictures, and (3) storytelling with hand puppets as a model. The results of the training showed that all participants were able to master basic storytelling techniques and began to apply them in learning. The evaluation showed an increase in teacher interest competence in storytelling and student enthusiasm during learning. These findings indicate that storytelling training is effective in strengthening the abilities of PAUD teachers and enriching character-based learning methods. This activity also strengthens the foundation of early childhood education as a long-term investment in the development of superior Indonesian human resources. Therefore, this kind of training needs to be replicated and institutionalized by education stakeholders.
