Abstract

Educational Management
motivational strategies, work environment, intrinsic motivation, leadership style, job design, employee engagement
This study investigates the relationship between employee profiles and productivity in private educational institutions, focusing on the impact of various motivational strategies. Specifically, it examines how demographic criteria—such as age, sex, level of education, job title, years of service, and type of employment—influence the effectiveness of motivational approaches, including monetary and non-monetary incentives, work environment, leadership style, employee engagement programs, job design, and intrinsic motivation factors. Utilizing a mixed-method sequential explanatory design, the study employed a structured survey of 162 respondents and conducted in-depth interviews with selected key informants to support and interpret the quantitative findings. Results reveal that work environment, leadership style, and intrinsic motivation were perceived as the most influential factors in enhancing employee productivity, while monetary incentives received the lowest mean rating despite remaining important. Significant differences were identified in motivational perceptions when grouped according to type of employment, years of service, and job position, indicating that motivation is not experienced uniformly across the workforce. Qualitative responses emphasized the importance of psychological safety, role clarity, professional recognition, and meaningful work as key motivators beyond financial compensation. The findings suggest that a single strategy works for everyone to motivation is insufficient in private educational settings. Institutions should adopt differentiated motivational strategies tailored to employee profiles to enhance productivity, engagement, and retention. This study contributes to existing literature by offering an integrated analysis of motivation and productivity in private schools and provides evidence-based recommendations for school leaders and human resource practitioners.
